1. Scope
This policy applies to paid LiveKlass products and services where a refund, withdrawal, or cancellation may be relevant. This includes self-paced courses, digital learning content, mentoring sessions, and other paid learning or professional services where this policy is referenced.
Free LiveKlass features do not involve a payment to refund. If a new paid product is introduced, any additional product-specific cancellation or refund terms will be shown before purchase where applicable.
The product page, booking flow, or checkout may provide additional terms relevant to a particular purchase. Mandatory consumer rights always take priority over conflicting contractual terms.
2. Statutory right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union or European Economic Area and enter into an eligible distance contract online, you will generally have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason, unless a lawful exception applies.
For a service contract, the withdrawal period generally begins when the contract is concluded. Different rules may apply to digital content supplied immediately and to services that begin or are completed during the withdrawal period.
To exercise a statutory withdrawal right, send us a clear statement that you wish to withdraw before the applicable withdrawal period expires. You do not need to use a specific form.
3. Immediate access to digital content
Paid self-paced courses and other digital content may be made available immediately after successful payment.
Where applicable law requires it, before digital content is supplied during the withdrawal period we may ask you to give prior express consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that you will lose your statutory withdrawal right when the legally required conditions for loss of that right are satisfied.
We will not treat your statutory withdrawal right as lost unless the consent, acknowledgement, confirmation, and other conditions required by applicable law have been properly satisfied.
If you validly withdraw while a withdrawal right remains available, LiveKlass may disable access to the affected paid content as permitted by law.
4. Mentoring sessions
Paid mentoring sessions are services and may be subject to withdrawal and cancellation rules that differ from immediately supplied digital content.
If you expressly request a mentoring service to begin during an applicable withdrawal period and later exercise a valid withdrawal right, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services already provided where applicable law permits this.
Before booking, review the mentor, session type, price, scheduled time or availability, and any cancellation or rescheduling information shown during the booking process.
Any LiveKlass or mentor-specific cancellation rules shown during booking apply in addition to, and do not reduce, mandatory statutory rights.
5. Mentor cancellations and unavailable sessions
If a paid mentoring session cannot be provided because the mentor cancels or LiveKlass is unable to provide the booked service, we will normally offer an appropriate rescheduling option or reimbursement for the affected session.
If a technical problem attributable to LiveKlass prevents a paid session from taking place as reasonably expected, contact us so that we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy.
Issues caused solely by a participant's own device, internet connection, missed appointment, or failure to attend do not automatically create a discretionary refund right, although mandatory rights remain unaffected.
6. Faulty or non-conforming digital content and services
Your legal remedies when paid digital content or a digital service is unavailable, defective, materially different from what was agreed, or otherwise non-conforming are separate from the ordinary withdrawal rules.
Contact us when something you purchased does not work as described. Where appropriate, we may restore access, correct the problem, provide replacement access or performance, reduce the price, terminate the affected contract, or provide a refund in accordance with applicable law.
Using a statutory remedy for non-conforming content or services does not depend on whether you have a separate discretionary refund right.
7. Discretionary refunds
Where no statutory withdrawal, cancellation, or refund right applies, LiveKlass may still review a refund request in good faith.
Examples may include duplicate payments, an accidental purchase reported before meaningful use, a payment taken for a service that cannot be provided, or a verified LiveKlass platform issue that we are unable to resolve within a reasonable period.
A discretionary refund is not guaranteed. We may consider the purchase date, access or booking history, downloaded material, service already provided, previous support activity, payment history, and the circumstances of the request.
This discretionary process never reduces a refund, withdrawal, cancellation, or other remedy that you are entitled to under applicable law.
8. Requests that normally do not qualify for a discretionary refund
A discretionary refund will normally not be granted solely because you changed your mind after making substantial use of a course, did not have enough time to study, no longer want to continue learning, or expected a career or other outcome that LiveKlass did not promise.
A missed mentoring appointment or late arrival does not by itself create a discretionary refund right where the mentor was available and able to provide the booked session.
We may reject discretionary requests involving fraud, deliberate misuse, account sharing, unauthorized copying or redistribution, abusive chargebacks, manipulated booking activity, or serious breaches of the LiveKlass Terms of Service.
Mandatory consumer rights and remedies remain unaffected regardless of this section.
9. How refunds are processed
Where a valid statutory withdrawal or other legal remedy requires reimbursement, we will provide the refund without undue delay and within the period required by applicable law.
Unless otherwise agreed or legally permitted, refunds are normally returned using the same payment method used for the original transaction. LiveKlass does not charge its own fee for a refund required by law.
Once an approved card refund has been submitted to the payment provider, your bank, card issuer, or payment provider may require additional processing time before the funds appear in your account.
For manual or alternative payment methods, we may need to verify the original transaction and appropriate recipient details before issuing the reimbursement.
10. Partial refunds and services already provided
Where applicable law permits payment for a proportion of a service already supplied before a valid withdrawal, any amount retained will be calculated in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
Where only part of a multi-part paid service cannot be provided, an appropriate remedy may apply to the affected part rather than automatically requiring cancellation of unaffected services.
We will not apply a partial-refund calculation where applicable law instead requires a full reimbursement.
11. How to request a withdrawal, cancellation, or refund
Contact us at hello@liveklass.io or through the Contact page. Include your full name, LiveKlass account email, the relevant course, mentoring session, booking, or product, purchase date, payment reference where available, and a clear explanation of what you are requesting.
If you are exercising a statutory right of withdrawal, make it clear that you are withdrawing from the relevant contract.
Do not send passwords, authentication codes, full payment-card numbers, card security codes, or other sensitive credentials.
We may request limited additional information where reasonably necessary to identify the transaction, confirm the account, prevent fraud, or process the request.
12. Payment disputes and chargebacks
If you believe a payment is incorrect, we encourage you to contact LiveKlass first so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.
Starting a chargeback does not create an additional refund entitlement. Access associated with a disputed or reversed payment may be temporarily restricted where reasonably necessary while the payment dispute is investigated.
Nothing in this policy prevents you from using a lawful payment dispute process, exercising mandatory consumer rights, making a consumer complaint, or using an available alternative dispute-resolution procedure.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when LiveKlass products, services, payment methods, booking functionality, or applicable legal requirements change.
The current version and its last-updated date will be published on this page.
The policy and terms applicable when you make a purchase or booking remain relevant to that transaction, together with any mandatory rights that apply.
